Azusa Shinozaki (篠崎 あずさ Shinozaki Azusa) is the widow of Shintaro Shinozaki and the mother of Ai Shinozaki.

At the beginning of season two, Azusa is comatose and has been for a while, thanks to an accident that severed the connection between her mind and body. By the final episode, her consciousness is freed from ComNet and Azusa wakes up from her coma.

Appearance

Azusa has red-brown hair, grey eyes and a mole on the lower left side of her red lips.

Etymology

• The name Azusa is written in hiragana (あずさ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (梓, 梓沙, 梓紗, 梓彩, 亜寿沙, 亜寿紗, 亜津沙, 亜津紗, 亜津彩, 安寿紗, 安津沙, 愛津紗 or 愛寿沙), it could possibly mean:
